Wild Wild West 2 - Cowboys

General George Armstrong Custer - Brevet Major General, US Army (The American Civil War, 1861 - 1865). Best remembered for his catastrophic defeat at the hands of Native Americans at the Battle of the Little Bighorn in Montana, 1876 even though the most significant and impressive events in his military career took place during the American Civil War, where he was one of the most successful cavalry commanders in the Union forces. (Moral of the story: Do everything right and nobody remembers, do just one thing wrong and nobody forgets!!-ha!ha!)

Lieutenant Colonel Theodore Roosevelt fought in the Spanish-American War, 1898 and would later become the 26th President of the United States.

7th US Cavalry by Action Man, Palitoy 1979. Part of the Action Man Wild West series which also included a Cowboy Scout and two Red Indians - a Brave and a Chief. The US 7th Cavalry Sergeant comes with forage cap with metal '7th Cavalry' badge pinned in front, single breasted navy blue jacket with yellow Sergeant's stripes, yellow scarf and braces (suspenders) with riding pants reinforced with denim at the crotch and inner thighs for constant riding, holster belt made from polyurethane for his revolver/pistol and his cavalry sword in sheath, and riding boots with spurs.

This is a collection worth the envy of many collectors. Outstanding displays and a wonderful blog for many other collectors to see and hopefully, show off their own collections of figures.

Blessings,

Jaime

Yup that's right. These were early days yet into my blogging and I didn't go into the details. Did you check out Josh Randall with Custer? link here: http://toyhaven.blogspot.com/2009/09/wild-wild-west-4-more-cowboys.html
