Pre-order Dragon Models Limited MIB3 (Men In Black 3) 1/6th scale Agent J & K 12-inch figures

Men in Black is a science fiction comedy film originally directed by Barry Sonnenfeld, starring Tommy Lee Jones, Will Smith, Linda Fiorentino, Vincent D'Onofrio, Rip Torn and Tony Shalhoub. The film was based on the Men in Black comic book series by Lowell Cunningham, originally published by Marvel Comics. Men in Black (MIB), is a secret agency without ties to any government, whose goal is to maintain Earth as a "neutral zone" for extraterrestrial aliens, whom they disguise as humans around New York City. The agency maintains its secrecy by using a neuralyzer to wipe the memories of those that encounter either them or the aliens, and also the memories of former agents when they retire.

The first film was released on July 2, 1997, by Columbia Pictures and grossed $589,390,539 worldwide against a $90 million budget. It was followed by a 2002 sequel, Men in Black II, inspired an animated series titled Men in Black: The Series, and a second sequel, entitled Men in Black III, which will be released on May 25, 2012.

Dragon Models Limited will be releasing three licensed movie figures from MIB3. Agent J will come with life-like sculpt of Will Smith as Agent J, 12-inch NEO 3 body, black suit consisting of white shirt, black tie and black pants plus jacket, shoes, sunglasses, Deneuralyzer, cell phone, taser, time stop watch and FRANK the dog.

The Force is strong with this one – Playmobil Fi?ures Series 2 Alien, inspired by Darth Vader

This is the alien figure from Playmobil Fi?ures Series 2. This is probably as close as you can get to a Playmobil Darth Vader action figure ;p Darth Vader (born Anakin Skywalker) is the central character of the Star Wars saga, appearing as one of the main antagonists of the original trilogy and as the main protagonist of the prequel trilogy.

Darth Vader's iconic status has made the character a synonym for evil in popular culture and Vader has gained much positive reception as a classic film villain. His all black ensemble / outfit with flowing cape has become instantly recognizable so it comes as no surprise that many Star Wars fans has called this Playmobil Fi?ures Series 2 alien figure the Darth Vader figure.

Except Darth Vader didn't have green skin or a ray / laser gun. It would have been ideal if Playmobil had given this figure a fully concealed helmet but I guess copyright issues prevented them from doing that, although that didn't stop Playmobil from releasing a ZORRO figure (see my post HERE), or Lara Croft (pictures HERE) and ELVIS (Playmobil King of Rock posted HERE)

Preview Sideshow Collectibles Star Wars 1/6th scale Clone Commander Neyo 12-inch Figure

Although ARC clone trooper CC-8826 was initially bred to have no individual thought or feeling, essentially a machine created to fight for the Galactic Republic, he was given the opportunity to develop a unique personality. Enrolled in Alpha-17's clone trooper commander program, he was actually encouraged to adopt more freedom of thought and expression.

Among the first graduates of the program, CC-8826 stepped into the role of clone marshal commander with the assignment to oversee the 91st Reconnaissance Corps. He takes the nickname Neyo, and develops a reputation as an especially cold, almost morbid commander. Terse and concise, Neyo isnt much for conversation but he displays an exemplary level of loyalty to his command. Working alongside commanders Faie and Bly, he leads a successful campaign to defeat the Seperatists on Saleucami. After their victory he remains on Saleucami under the leadership of Jedi General Stass Allie. In a testament to his loyalty, Neyo later follows Supreme Chancellor Palpatine's order to execute General Allie, without a second thought or moment of hesitation.

Sideshow Collectibles is proud to present the newest member of the Militaries of Star Wars Sixth Scale line, Clone Commander Neyo. The Commander Neyo Sixth Scale Figure features: Modified Phase II Helmet, Detailed Fabric Body Suit, Shoulder Bell and Harness, Highly Detailed Full Body Armor Set, Thirteen (13) Interchangeable Hands, One (1) Pair Standing Boots, One (1) Pair Action Boots, BlasTech DC-15A Long Range Blaster Rifle, BlasTech DC-15S Blaster Carbine, Fully Articulated Armored Body with 30+ points of articulation, Display Base with Coruscant Guard symbol and lower support stand

It doesn't get any weirder than this: ThreeA Supreme Mom & White Mother (Ebony & Ivory)

The latest teaser from ThreeA is about two female characters and the reason to make you think that they  are female is because they have boobs, unless you find yourself in Thailand, in which case you find yourself doubting whether people with boobs and who wears dresses are female or not. That's because there are so many Ladyboys in Thailand that they are Thailand's Third Gender (the kathoeys).

World War Robot "Supreme Mom" description: She hears all her children, and they hear her. Never to be lost, never to be alone, never to falter, that is her gift. Her shadow cast from Earth to Mars, including Rothchilds Moon! She is Supreme. WHAT?! did anybody get that? It's in English no doubt and yet it sounds all too foreign to me LOL. I guess I'm just not up to date with the World of WWR (World War Robot)

No face, no hair, just a face mask / gas mask connected to tubes leading to two tanks she carries on her back, presuming that they are oxygen tanks which keeps her breathing and alive. This is WWR Supreme Mom, all dressed in black while WWR White Mother is dressed in all white, what else! Scroll down to see the pictures :)

REVIEW III: Subway 24 Hours "Hero" aka 1/6 Kiefer Sutherland as Jack Bauer 12-inch Figure

This is my third and last review post on Subway 24 Hours "Hero" 12-inch figure aka 1/6th scale "24" Kiefer Sutherland as Jack Bauer. Having already reviewed the packaging and contents (including 1/6th scale padded underwear plus thigh enhancers) in my earlier post, then followed by a second post on this Subway 24 inspired 12-inch figure wearing the APEX body armor vest over his gray grandad shirt and armed with the 1/6th scale M4A1 SOPMOD rifle with collapsible stock, AR15 foregrip, Xenon laser light and one M4 / M16 magazine, this post is the Subway 24 Hours "Hero" 12-inch figure with his full getup i.e. complete with 1/6th scale 5222 large aviator sunglasses, brown leather jacket over gray long sleeve sweater, 527 Denim jeans and boots plus RRL leather mail bag / messenger bag

Here we see 1/6 Kiefer Sutherland as Jack Bauer taking aim with his Heckler & Koch USP compact pistol with the aim of taking down the bad guys, terrorists and the like. After all, that's what Jack does in the TV series. That, and coming up with many ways of torturing suspects which the show got some flak for.

She was the founding leader of the Cobra Unit, in which she was known as "The Joy," however, when they were disbanded at the end of World War II, she was granted the codename of "The Boss." Together with Naked Snake, she developed the technique of CQC.

Comes with Real-like golden hair sculpture with ponytail and Six (6) pieces of interchangeable gloved palms including: One (1) pair of fists, Two (2) left relaxed palms, One (1) right palm for holding patriot, One (1) right palm for holding knife. "Aliens vs Predator" Hot Toys 1/6th scale Scar Predator 14-inch figure released in 2006

Some things are just good to re-post, especially with all the attention they are getting ;p This toy blog post on the Hot Toys AVP Scar Predator figure has garnered 69,328 visits / hits since I first posted it on TOY HAVEN in December 30, 2008 so I thought it'll be nice to revisit an oldie but goodie :)

Originally posted: Tuesday, December 30, 2008
With all the internet chatter on the upcoming "Jungle Predator", "Dutch" and "Billy" figures (see post here), it seems the right time to post an entry on Hot Toys' 2006 release of the 1/6th scale 14" tall Scar Predator (this one's for you, tony).

When the "Alien vs Predator (AVP)" movie came out in 2004, it was something many fans had been anticipating for a long time. The story follows a group of paleontologists, archaeologists, and other expedition members assembled by billionaire Charles Bishop Weyland (played by Lance Henriksen who was the android Bishop in the 1986 "Aliens") for an expedition near the Antarctic after discovering a mysterious heat signal. Hoping to claim the find for himself, Weyland and the group discover a pyramid below the surface of a whaling station. Hieroglyphics and sculptures reveal that the pyramid is a hunting ground for Predators who kill Aliens as a rite of passage. The humans are caught in the middle of a battle between the two species and attempt to prevent the Aliens from reaching the surface.

Who cares about the human fodder? AVP was about xenomorph aliens versus humanoid aliens and most of us were rooting for the predators. Hot Toys released the first two predators from the film in 2006 - Scar Predator and Celtic Predator. For the movie, each predator was given a unique mask to distinguish them from each other. I only got the Scar Predator because he was closest to the original predators from the first two Predator films, plus he's the main character in AVP.

Hot Toys Movie Masterpiece 1/6 scale 14" Scar Predator was released as a model kit and basically meant that you had to put him together. First you had to dress him up with his mesh jumpsuit. This appears to warm the Predator's body by means of electrically generated warmth via the wires that make up the jumpsuit. Besides this, it has also been suggested that the mesh is a part of the camouflage system which is the cloaking device that renders the predator almost invisible.

REVIEW II: Subway 24 Hours "Hero" 1/6th scale Kiefer Sutherland as Jack Bauer 12-inch Figure

continued from previous post...

This is the Subway 24 Hours "Hero" 12-inch figure aka 1/6th scale "24" Kiefer Sutherland as Jack Bauer wearing the gray long sleeve sweater (OR also known as grandad shirt), Apex body armor, blue jeans, boots and armed with the 1/6th scale M4A1 SOPMOD rifle with collapsible stock, AR15 foregrip, Xenon laser light and one M4 / M16 magazine.

In the earlier post, I had covered the box packaging and its contents, including the ridiculously looking padded underwear which I promptly removed after finding out that it impedes the figure's leg articulation. It also made him look like he had a big fat butt! Now he looks more like a regular dude out to kick some terrorist a$$!

Because I will be putting on his 1/6th scale brown leather jacket over his gray grandad shirt (a long-sleeved collarless shirt, not really a sweater since a sweater is thicker for keeping warm) in the NEXT post, I decided to post pictures of this Subway 24 Hours "Hero" 12-inch figure without his jacket here so that we can see what he's wearing underneath the jacket.

This character needs no introduction. Anybody and everybody knows who Captain America is :) There have been so many versions of late unlike when I was growing up when there was just ONE Cap! This latest incarnation of Captain America is as he will appear in THE AVENGERS movie coming up real soon ;p everybody's excited about the film and it looks like Marvel beat DC to it with regard to putting a superhero team on the big screen! The Avengers is as big as you are going to get. There was the X-Men of course but 2012 is all about the AVENGERS!

Hot Toys is proud to present their MMS174 (Movie Masterpiece Series) The Avengers: 1/6th scale Captain America 12-inch Limited Edition Collectible Figurine which will have the following specially features: Authentic and detailed fully realized likeness of Chris Evans as Captain America in his hero costume in the The Avengers movie, Approximately 31 cm tall, One (1) newly developed helmeted head, One (1) newly developed alternate head with authentic likeness of Chris Evans as Captain America in the movie, Muscular body with over 30 points of articulations, Movie-accurate facial expression with detailed wrinkles and skin texture, Nine (9) pieces of interchangeable gloved palms including: One (1) pair of palms for holding shield, One (1) pair of palms for throwing palms, One (1) right palm for pointing palms, One (1) pair of relaxed palms, One (1) pair of fists. REVIEW 1: Subway 24 Hours "Hero" aka 1/6th "24" Kiefer Sutherland as Jack Bauer Figure

"24" is a TV serial drama which stars Kiefer Sutherland as Jack Bauer, focusing on the efforts of the fictional Counter Terrorist Unit, and their efforts to protect America from terrorism plots. Each episode typically follows Bauer, officials in the U.S. government, and the conspirators behind the events of the day, often simultaneously. The episodes take place over the course of one hour, depicting events as they happen, in real time. To emphasize the real-world flow of events, a clock is prominently displayed on-screen during the show, and there is a regular use of split screens, a technique used to depict multiple scenes occurring at the same time. [source: wiki]

This is the Subway 24 Hours "Hero" 12-inch figure which everybody knows is meant to be 1/6th scale Kiefer Sutherland as Jack Bauer from the television series "24", although which season this figure is based on I'm not too sure ;p

This is not the first 12-inch Jack Bauer figure. There was the undersized Enterbay "24" Jack Bauer figure (reviewed HERE) and Playhouse GSG-9 (low profile version), an unlicensed Jack Bauer figure (reviewed HERE) and now this Subway 24 Hours "Hero" 1/6th scale "24" Kiefer Sutherland as Jack Bauer Figure. Scroll down to see the pictures :)

Pre-order Sideshow Collectibles and Pop Culture Shock Judge Dredd 1:4th scale Diorama

Judge Joseph Dredd is a comics character whose strip in the British science fiction anthology 2000 AD is the magazine's longest running, having been featured there since its second issue in 1977. Dredd is a law enforcement officer in a violent city of the future where uniformed Judges combine the powers of police, judge, jury and executioner. Dredd and his fellow Judges are empowered to arrest, sentence and even execute criminals on the spot.

Sideshow Collectibles is proud to present, from Pop Culture Shock Collectibles, the Judge Dredd 1:4 Scale Diorama. This meticulously crafted statue of the 2000 AD lawman of the future features a detail packed sculpture and masterful painting. Dredd comes with two interchangeable versions of his Lawgiver gun and stands on the broken head of the 'Call-Me-Kenneth' robot featured in 2000 AD#10-17. This 20.5 inch tall diorama is a must-have collectible for any fan of Judge Dredd.

Joseph Dredd is the most famous of the elite corps of Street Judges that run Mega-City One with the power not only to enforce the law, but also to instantly convict and sentence offenders – and occasionally execute them. Dredd is armed with a "Lawgiver" pistol (programmed to recognise his palm-print alone and capable of firing six types of ammunition), a daystick, a knife, and stun/gas grenades. His helmet obscures all of his face except for his mouth and jaw. He rides a large "Lawmaster" motorbike, which has machineguns, a powerful laser cannon, and full artificial intelligence capable of responding to orders from the Judge and of driving itself.

Playmobil Fi?ures Series 2 Skateboarder Figure

This is the Skateboarder figure from Playmobil Fi?ures Series 2. Playmobil Fi?ures all come polybagged with no name or distinguishable feature to tell you what figure is inside each bag. It's as if you have to pick a bag and hope for the best. The best way to know what you are getting is by squeezing or feeling the bag for any part or accessory that is unique to that figure. That is, if the store people will let you do that. Even better when the girls in the store help you out ;p That's how nice my experience went haha

Some nice things I like about this Playmobil Skateboarder figure - the hair is much improved from the earlier versions (its more stylish with wave) and the company was able to make this figure look layered (he has what looks like a lime green hoodie - also called a hooded sweatshirt or hoody - and blue vest over brown cargo pants). Plus he comes with two faces - the standard smiling face which has been there since the brand started in 1975 and a more playful cheeky version (scroll down to see the other face ;p). And he has his skateboard

Review II: iCEO 1/6th scale Steve Jobs 12-inch Figure - iCEO to Apple: "Catch me if you can!"

Like I said before (see previous post), "This one actually got produced." This is the second of my two-part REVIEW of the iCEO 1/6th scale custom Steve Jobs 12-inch figure that was released most recently. I had already covered the box packaging and its contents in the previous post, showing pictures of the 1/6th scale Apple products that were made, including iPad, iPhone, Macbook and iMac with a mouse and keyboard. In this toy blog post, I'll be showing pictures of the 12-inch Steve Jobs figure and close-ups of the iCEO 1/6th scale Steve Jobs head sculpt.

Please NOTE: The iCEO Steve Jobs figure does not come with the 1/6th scale apple. The apple is just something I have from my kitbash stash and just seems appropriate for this photo shoot. If you have to ask why, then you certainly don't know who Steve Jobs was ;p

Next in theeA REAL STEEL collection - MIDAS!

Real Steel is a 2011 movie about robots beating up robots in the ring. Forget about the mushy stuff of how father Charlie Kenton (Hugh Jackman) and son Max (Dakota Goyo) bond over getting their robot ready for fights. We are only there to see the robot action because in the film, human boxers have been replaced by robot boxers and most of the beating up happens in the ring where robot thrashes robot. Pretty cool stuff because animatronic robots were built for the film, and motion capture technology was used to depict the brawling of computer-generated robots and animatronics.

The film starts with one robot, Ambush and as the story develops, more robots enter the fray. Midas is a champion robot used to fight in the illegal circuit and Charlie uses Noisy Boy (which reminded me of Tetsujin 28-go which was dubbed and released in English as Gigantor) to fight Midas in one of the fights.

Having confirmed the release of Ambush and now taking pre-orders, ThreeA has revealed the second figure in their Showcase toy line to be Midas, produced by ThreeA. Like Ambush, he is made almost entirely out of injection plastics. He is produced in 1/6th scale and is fully articulated. No release date has been set.

iCEO 1/6th scale Steve Jobs 12-inch Figure REVIEW - this one made it past Apple's lawyers

This is the iCEO 1/6th scale Steve Jobs 12-inch figure which managed to get made and released ;p While the head sculpt may not be as good as the DiD version which made the news for its amazing true-to-life likeness (see PREVIEW pictures HERE) and all the wrong reasons (Apple lawyers take action!), thus ending in its pre-mature withdrawal from the market after getting a lot of people all excited, this iCEO version of Steve Jobs seems to be of the man at a later stage of his life than DiD's version because here Steve Jobs is thinner due to his sickness. If you were to google images of Steve Jobs, you can actually see which Steve Jobs iCEO based their figure's head sculpt on. The pair of 1/6 glasses is an achievement in itself :)

What appealed to me were also the Apple products that were included with this iCEO 1/6th scale Steve Jobs 12-inch Figure: iPad, iPhone, Macbook and iMac with a mouse and keyboard.

Scroll down to see how the 1/6th scale Apple products look :) It's always nice to have 1:1 scale things done in 1:6 scale and even more so when I actually use some of these products. It was such fun to see the faces of my loved ones light up when they saw the miniature Apple products, products which have become a part and parcel of many of our lives. There's no denying that.

Incoming: Asmus Toys Slam Dunk 1/6 scale Hanamichi Sakuragi 12-inch Figure

Slam Dunk (スラムダンク Suramu Danku) is a sports-themed manga series written by Takehiko Inoue about a basketball team from Shōhoku High School. It was first serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Shōnen Jump in Japan from 1990 to 1996 and had also been adapted into an anime series by Toei Animation which had been broadcast worldwide, enjoying much popularity particularly in Japan, several other Asian countries and Europe. [source: wiki]

Slam Dunk centers around Hanamichi Sakuragi, who starts as a delinquent outcast, becoming the leader of a gang. Hanamichi, being very unpopular with girls, has been rejected by them fifty times. Yet, he finds out that Haruko Akagi is the girl of his dreams, and is happy when she's not scared of him like all the other girls he has asked out.

Asmus Toys will be releasing this 1/6th scale Hanamichi Sakuragi 12-inch Figure from the Slam Dunk manga / anime series. He's wearing the Shōhoku High School basketball team jersey with 1/6 scale basketball and this figure comes with 3 heads. Scroll down to see the different expressions.

Elvis Presley The King of Rock and Roll is now a Playmobil Fi?ure - some squeezing required

2012 marks the 35th Anniversary of Elvis Presley's death since 1977 when the King of Rock was found to be unresponsive on his bathroom floor. The world mourned his death then, but it's ready to party now.

Graceland will kick off a year-long celebration with a slew of special events, including tribute concerts, according to release from Elvis Presley Enterprises. The King may have left the building, but he has not left the branding. Elvis Presley would have turned 77 on January 8 and maybe he's not with us anymore but he now lives again as a Playmobil action figure ;p

This PLaymobil ELVIS figure is from the Playmobil Fi?ures Series 2 for boys which I had blogged about on my toy blog recently (see my post HERE). Playmobil does not outrightly say that this is an ELVIS figure (nor did they say that they had released a Lara Croft figure either but they did ;p) but it is just obvious to everyone :) The reason is Playmobil's philosophy: Playmobil figures do not have names, thus allowing children to invent their own characters. But we all know this figure needs no inventing - he's who he's supposed to be: ELVIS the KING!

Incoming: Subway 24 Hours 1/6th scale "Betrayer" 12-inch Action Figure

24 is an American television series produced for the Fox Network and syndicated worldwide, starring Kiefer Sutherland as Counter Terrorist Unit (CTU) agent Jack Bauer. Each 24-episode season covers 24 hours in the life of Bauer, using the real time method of narration. Premiering on November 6, 2001, the show spanned 192 episodes over eight seasons, with the series finale broadcast on May 24, 2010.

Anthony "Tony" Almeida is a fictional character played by Carlos Bernard on the television series 24. Almeida appeared in a total of 115 episodes, the third highest number of episodes of any character in the series behind Chloe O'Brian (125) and main character Jack Bauer (192), portrayed by Mary Lynn Rajskub and Kiefer Sutherland, respectively. [source: wiki]

This will be the next 12-inch figure to be released by Subway and it is called "24 Hours Betrayer". The 1/6th scale "24 Hours Betrayer" certainly bears a very strong resemblance to Carlos Bernard as Anthony "Tony" Almeida from the highly acclaimed TV series. Is Subway going to produce a line of 24 Hours figures since they have already released their first figure which was supposed to be Jack Bauer? See preview pictures of Subway's 24 Hours "Hero" figure HERE which I've already got (check out my March 2012 haul HERE) and will be posting pictures soon ;p

Playmobil Fi?ures Series 2 Figures - lots of FUN and nice surprises too. Take your pick of the best

I only got one Playmobil figure from their Fi?ure Series 1 (that's ZORRO, posted HERE) but ended up with five figures from Series 2 because they are just so much FUN haha

I first got hold of Playmobil Fi?ures Lara Croft from their Series 2 Female action figure series (check out the pictures HERE) and then went back to the store to get some more, this time zooming in on the Male Fi?ures. Here's the lot of them, all mixed up together. That's the fun part about this particular Playmobil Fi?ures theme. They all come polybagged with no name or distinguishable feature to tell you what figure is inside each bag. The Playmobil fi?ure comes unassembled in loose parts so that you can mix and match various bags and customize your own figure if you so desire. I think this is the first time ever that the basic figure comes unassembled since it began selling in 1975.

So what did I get from the assortment of parts? If you think you can guess what they are, scroll down to see if you got it right. And if you have no clue whatsoever, scroll down anyway ;p You're in for a treat haha

Incoming: Flirty Girl Collectibles 1/6th scale ANA Female Clothing Set

This will be the next product to be released by Flirty Girl Collectibles. It's a basic clothing set for your 12-inch female action figures and the clothes are intended for TTL, Phicen, Triad Alpha and CY Girl bodies. The Stiletto Boots are NOT your regular style stilettos we are used to seeing. They are much more detailed at the bottoms to give them a more accurate looking thigh high "pump" style shoe. There is a zipper closure in the back and they are made for an ankle cup style ankle.

This female clothing set includes the sweater knit turtleneck mini dress, faux leather belt with buckle and detailed black stiletto boots. These are actual micro sweater knit used in 1:1 scale clothing.

As an added PRE-ORDER bonus, faux leather double holster will be included FREE with each order. The holster will fit a variety of pistols. The bonus is for the holster only - NO PISTOLS INCLUDED!

Review III: InFlames 1/6 Metal Boss (Battle Armor version) 12-inch collectible figure

This is my version of the InFlames 1/6th scale Metal Boss Battle Armor 12-inch limited edition collectible figure WITHOUT his Rappelling belt / harness (STABO rig?), US M-1956 Load-Carrying Equipment (LCE) consisting of individual equipment belt, belt suspenders, two M-14 ammo pouches (also used for 30-round M-16 magazines) and two M16 ammunition pouches, two 1-quart canteens with canteen covers and the field pack -  basically almost everything that came with this figure ;p

I figured he looked so bada$$ and futuristic with his ultra cool sci-fi armor suit including the full-face protective shield and hand-held shield that the late 1960s / early 70s Vietnam War military gear would look so out of place with the whole get-up. So I ditched them.

To see how this InFlames 1/6 Metal Boss (Battle Armor version) limited edition collectible figure looks like with his full gear and accessories including weapons, check out the PREVIEW pics as well as cosmicbaby's toy blog post of this same figure "Naked Snake aka Big Boss (Battle Armor Version)". Beautifully taken pictures of the figure by cosmicbaby on his blog :)

Pre-order Sideshow Collectibles Star Wars 1/6th scale Tatooine Tusken Raider 12-inch Figure

Fearsome desert savages inhabiting the rocky Jundland Wastes, Tusken Raiders, or Sand People as they are also known, are the foremost reason Tatooine colonists do not wander far from their isolated communities. Extremely territorial and aggressive, Tusken Raiders will attack with very little provocation. They show no allegiance to even their native world-mates and have been known to attack Jawa scouting parties on occasion. They brandish a deadly bladed club known as a gaderffii and also carry projectile rifles with which to shoot at passing vehicles. For transportation, Sand People have domesticated the hardy bantha, a longhaired spiral-horned quadruped also found on Tatooine. These nomads purposely travel in single file, to conceal their numbers.

On the desert planet Tatooine, a moisture farmer named Owen Lars buys a pair of droids named R2D2 and C3PO. He leaves the droids in the charge of his nephew Luke Skywalker, but when R2D2 escapes, Luke and C3PO set out in a landspeeder to find him, knowing that dangerous Tusken Raiders inhabit the area. They soon locate R2 on the scanner and catch up with him, only to learn that danger is nearby. R2 tells them that he detects several creatures closing in on their location, and as Luke fears, the creatures are Tusken Raiders. They are quickly attacked, leaving Luke unconscious as the landspeeder is raided for parts.

The Tusken Raiders flee at the sound of a vicious creature, discovered to be a mysterious hooded figure approaching from across the desert sand. Once the figure has checked on the fallen Luke, his hood is removed to reveal an older bearded man. Luke awakens to see that the man is the local hermit Ben Kenobi, who later reveals that he is Obi-Wan Kenobi, a Jedi Knight who had known Luke's father and suspects a great potential for Luke to be strong in the Force. Their chance meeting through this Tusken Raider attack would begin the series of events that saves the Galaxy from certain destruction at the hands of Darth Vader.

Incoming: Original Effect (OE) World of Warcraft 1/6th scale Forsaken Rogue 12-inch Figure

What do I know about World of Warcraft characters? Nada, not a thing. I don't play the game and am not really into much of the video games stuff but what I do appreciate are collectible figures produced in 1/6th scale because most of these 12-inch limited edition figures tend to come with pretty amazing detail and cool accessories. Sometimes they are so well done that they become works of art, to me at least and I appreciate them as such :)

A new company called OriginalEffect (OE) will be releasing this unlicenced World of Warcraft Forsaken Rogue figure consisting of a 12-inch base body (full-height approximately 28cm), 1/6th scale armor and weapons for about USD$185 (Retail price: 569RMB). It certainly looks mighty interesting.

According to www.wowwiki.com, the Forsaken are a race and faction of undead who broke away from the Scourge and took control of much of the kingdom of Lordaeron, destroyed during the Third War by the death knight Arthas. They are currently allied with the Horde. The Forsaken are led by their Banshee Queen, Sylvanas Windrunner, the former Ranger-General of Quel'Thalas. Their capital is the Undercity, in the royal catacombs beneath the ruins of the City of Lordaeron.

Hot Toys Company Philosophy: Milk the Cash Cow!!! Milk it and milk it real good! If it's all been done before, go back and do it to them (we collectors) all over again. Hot Toys think that we collectors want it so bad that we'll take everything the company dish out and beg for MORE!! Poor SODs we are if we fall for these gimmicks.

Medicom Toys 1/6 scale Kamen Rider Fourze 12-inch Figure plus Premium Club Module Set

The Kamen Rider Series (仮面ライダーシリーズ Kamen Raidā Shirīzu, translated as Masked Rider Series) is a metaseries of manga and tokusatsu television programs and films created by manga artist Shotaro Ishinomori. The various Kamen Rider media generally feature a motorcycle-riding superhero with an insect motif who fights supervillains often referred to as kaijin (怪人). The franchise began in 1971 with the Kamen Rider television series which followed college student Takeshi Hongo and his quest to defeat the world-conquering Shocker organization. Over the years, the popularity of the franchise has grown and the original series has spawned many television and theatrical sequels. [source: wiki]

I grew up with the Kamen Riders from the Shōwa era (the original Masked Riders that resembled more of the insects) and have no inkling of the Kamen Riders from the Heisei era (the new riders from the year 2000 - Kuuga, Agito, Ryuki and the rest of the new generation Kamen Riders). They had deviated from the original insect theme which I thought was pretty cool and I didn't quite like the new designs.

The latest Kamen Rider Fourze premiered in late 2011 following the finale of KR OOO. The series has a spaceflight motif and is intended to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Yuri Gagarin's and mankind's first flight into space as well as the 40th anniversary of the Kamen Rider Series.

Kamen Rider Fourze (仮面ライダーフォーゼ Kamen Raidā Fōze) is a Japanese tokusatsu drama in Toei Company's Kamen Rider Series, being the thirteenth series in the Heisei period run and the twenty-second overall. It began airing on September 4, 2011. The show's catchphrase is "Switch on youth 'cause space on your hand!" (青春スイッチオンで宇宙キター! Seishun suitchi on de uchū kitā!), referencing the Fourze Driver (フォーゼドライバー Fōze Doraibā) transformation belt which gets its various powers from devices called Astroswitches (アストロスイッチ Asutorosuitchi) to conjure attachments to Fourze's limbs. Review II: InFlames Metal Boss Battle Armor version 12-inch limited edition collectible figure

continued from earlier post...

I've shown you all the latest released InFlames (with HeadPlay) Metal Boss Battle Armor version 1/6th scale limited edition collectible figure box packaging and contents as well as the basic figure in the first review. This TOYHAVEN toy blog post can also be simply called "Metal Boss Battle Armor Exposed". In this toy blog entry, I will be showing you what lies beneath the Battle Armor and how it is attached.

We all know that InFlames is basically selling us an unlicensed version of the "Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker" video game Big Boss / Naked Snake character and this is Naked Snake wearing the Sneaking Suit with Zombie face camouflage. As described in the game, Zombie face camouflage draws a white skull on Snake's face and leaves the rest of his face black. It provides cover in both black and white areas. Coincidentally, the word "zombie" means "snake" in the Voodoo religion.

What is interesting from the get-go is the replacement of the cloth head band / bandana with an armored looking version head piece that goes over and around his forehead where the bandana should be. To see "Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker" Naked Snake 12-inch figure with the cloth bandana, just click HERE to see the InFlames Metal Boss 1/6th scale figure in BDUs version.

Preview Hot Toys DX10: Terminator 2: Judgment 1/6 Day: DX T-800 12-inch Collectible Figure

I was totally caught off guard by this! Hot Toys will be releasing yet another T-800 collectible figure from their Terminator movie franchise and this time, the T-800 will be a DX figure. The major difference between the DX (DeluXe) figure and the regular MMS (Movie Masterpiece Series) lies in the eyes - the DX has the Hot Toys P.E.R.S (Parallel Eyeball Rolling System) which is a gimmick for making the eyes move and roll around. The FIRST DX figure (DX01) was the Joker from "The Dark Knight" (check out the pictures HERE). Just when you think Hot Toys has exhausted all avenues and can't milk the cash cow any more, they come up with something creative and throw us this figure!

Hot Toys is proud to present the 1/6th scale T-800 collectible figure from the "Terminator 2: Judgment Day" movie from the DX Series. The advanced T-800 collectible is specially crafted based on the image of Arnold Schwarzenegger in the movie, highlighting the newly developed head sculpt with the most updated sculpting technique and with Parallel Eyeball Rolling System (PERS), detachable scalp and cyberdyne chip in the head, advanced muscular body, authentic leather jacket and pants, detailed weapons and accessories.

When Hot Toys released their MMS T2 T-800 12-inch figure (FULL review HERE), most collectors were keen to value-add by adding items that would make the figure more complete, myself included. So I added the COO Model 1/6 scale M79 grenade launcher (pictures HERE) and 7.62mm GE M134 minigun to the original figure to boost it up and I was pretty pleased with the result (see ALL pictures HERE). So this announcement is a bit of a let down for me as there really isn't a lot going for it. Scroll down to see what else this Hot Toys DX10 1/6th scale T2 T-800 12-inch collectible figure comes with.

Review 1: InFlames Metal Boss Battle Armor version 1/6 limited edition collectible figure

This is the InFlames Metal Boss Battle Armor version 1/6th scale limited edition collectible figure. I had recently posted lots of pictures and a FOUR-part review of the InFlames and HeadPlay 1/6 scale Metal Boss 12-inch Collectible Figure BDU Version (see the FIRST review posted HERE). This time round, it seems InFlames has left out the HeadPlay logo but seeing as one of the 1/6 scale head sculpt included in this set is the same as before, you can safely say that HeadPlay is probably in on this too.

For those of you who are unfamiliar, this is the second Metal Boss 12-inch figure released by InFlames and they are essentially unlicensed 1/6th scale figures based on the Metal Gear Solid video game character, namely Naked Snake (who later became Big Boss) hence their product name: Metal Boss.

After how well the first release turned out, collectors were really eager to get their hands on this particular version because it features the full Battle Armor i.e. Big Boss's Sneaking Suit in Peace Walker. Bearing a stong resemblance to the Skull Suit which would be worn by Raiden in 2009, the Sneaking Suit provided enhanced camouflage and sound reducing properties. The suit's fabric also exerted pressure on the wearer's body to help stop bleeding from any injuries.

Playmobil Fi?ures - Series 2: Lara Croft Tomb Raider Female Action Figure REVIEW

Once in a while, the little boy in me still wants to play with Playmobil haha. For the unfamiliar (seriously?!), Playmobil (pronounced play-mo-beel) is a line of toys produced by the Brandstätter Group (Geobra Brandstätter GmbH & Co KG), headquartered in Zirndorf, Germany. Developed by Hans Beck (1929 – 2009), the toy figure, at 7.5 cm tall, would fit easily in a child's hand and its facial design would be based on children's drawings (large head, big smile, no nose). Playmobil figures do not have names, thus allowing the children to invent their own characters. Adult Playmobil people are approximately 3 inches tall and are a 1:22.5 scale. Playmobil began to be sold worldwide in 1975, and has grown ever since. [source: wiki]

Playmobil Fi?ures are a new Playmobil theme that was recently launched. Playmobil Fi?ures consist of polybagged Playmobil Figures, in two different assortments. At SGD3.95 per bag, it wasn't a very hard decision to make when it came to buy or not buy. I managed to grab a Playmobil ZORRO figure from series 1 (see my post and pictures HERE)

Eric Stettmeier (check out his cool toy blog "TOYRIFFIC") brought series 2 to my attention when he posted his haul of Playmobil Series 2 Fi?ures (see his post HERE). Among the figures he got was a very cool Lara Croft Tomb Raider figure :) That made me go out to the store as I had to get MY OWN Lara Croft Tomb Raider figure haha

Incoming from Art Figure: The King OR LOTR 1/6 Aragorn King of Gondor 12-inch Figure

Art Figures came into the spotlight when they released their Art-Figures: SAVES "Punisher: War Zone" Figure (review and pictures HERE) which blew everyone away. They followed that up with their Art-figures Navy Seal Special / Lt AK Waters (Bruce Willis) 12-inch Figure (reviewed HERE). Then there was AF-005 1/6 Avenger AKA Thomas Jane 12-inch Punisher Figure (pictures HERE) and the recently released Art Figures 1/6 Delta Force - SFC 12-inch Figure (preview pictures HERE).

The next product Art Figures will be releasing is "The King" and no, it's NOT Elvis Presley but King Aragorn from the Lord of the Rings movie trilogy.

Upon Sauron's defeat, Aragorn was crowned as King Elessar (translated as Elfstone in Quenya), a name given to him by Galadriel. (In Sindarin this becomes Edhelharn.) He became the twenty-sixth King of Arnor, thirty-fifth King of Gondor and the first High King of the Reunited Kingdom. His line was referred to as the House of Telcontar (Telcontar being Quenya for "Strider", the name he was known by in Bree).
