Medicom Toys Real Action Heroes (RAH) 1/6th scale Hush Batman and Joker 12-inch Figures

Hush is a 2002-2003 comic book story arc that ran through the Batman monthly series. It was written by Jeph Loeb, penciled by Jim Lee, inked by Scott Williams and colored by Alex Sinclair. The story depicts a mysterious stalker called Hush, who seems intent on sabotaging Batman from afar, and it includes a large number of guest appearances by Batman villains.

Based on the best-selling series Batman: Hush by Jeph Loeb and Jim Lee, Medicom unveils their first two releases in their new DC Comics Real Action Hero line of 1/6th scale figures. Batman and the Joker are both sculpted from original designs by Jim Lee, and are built using the finest craftmanship and costume tailoring.

Don't shoot the messenger ;p I just put down what they say. Finest craftsmanship and costume tailoring? really? Has Medicom even seen what Hot Toys is doing in both areas? And Medicom dares to charge Hot Toys prices? Well, in the end, it's up to the folks who buy their products to decide for themselves ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Hush was published in monthly installments as Batman #608-619 by DC Comics. The first issue of the story arc was a success ranking 1st in the Top 300 comics for the October 2002 period with pre-order sales of 113,061. It was later collected into two volumes as hardcover and softcover, and later in 2005 in an oversized Absolute Batman: Hush hardcover slipcase. DC Comics released the story arc in one volume in August 2009 [source: wiki]

The Hush storyline was followed up in Paul Dini and Dustin Nguyen's well-received storyline, Heart of Hush, where Hush returns to get revenge on Batman through Catwoman and surgically changed his appearance to match Bruce Wayne's in an attempt to steal his identity. The series was praised for adding backstory and depth to the character of Hush while returning him to a credible threat. An origin story for Hush is given in Detective Comics #846-847.

Okay, so if Hush is the antagonist and mastermind, how come Medicom did not release him first but chose to release the 1/6th scale Joker instead? Shouldn't that be for "A Killing Joke"? hahaha

Scroll down to see more pictures of the Joker, usually Batman's arch-nemesis but not in the HUSH storyline. Still the maniac has done his fair share of causing chaos to Gotham City in general and Batman in particular.

I actually have seen these pre-production photos of MEDICOM's HUSH linea few Weeks ago, the BATMAN HUSH looks AWESOME!!! However, because of Medicom's overpricing, scale and "quality" issues it's most likely best left as a really cool picture for me. Hot Toys is making it very difficult for collectors to hold on to their money LOL, and in turn making it impossible for other toy companies to share in the wealth (or in my case) lack of it. Hope someone over at MEDICOM frequents your site GenX, they should... because they really do bring GREAT designs and a broad range of licenses to the table, but again their RAH body as good as it is, is relatively to small,OVER used and is need of additional body options (taller/ female/ tall versions) and and then theres the RAH hip joint issues :( :( :( those who know feel my pain. As for the prices of MEDICOM figures it's just RIDICULOUS what their asking, sometimes higher than HT with nothing near the accessories, enviromental figure stands, often AMAZING production boxes and packaging HOT TOY has shown us. I can go on and on about HOT TOYS' ever-ascending bar but I'm scared their reading this and might increase their prices even more! Lol, what do you think GENX?

Medicom has had one chunk of change out of my pocket (Boda Fett) and as much as batman figure looks great there not getting another !!!! Small scale .... and a sensation that it was going to breake as I removed him from the box plus missing blaster ...... :-(:-( and all that for £140 ..... Hot toys will get around to something of this style of batman ...ill wait ...Many Thanks Joneefubar :-)

Yes Joneefubar we have all been badly burnt by Medicom Toys and that's why we have all sworn to stay as far away from them as possible haha and yet, Medicom tempts us but we must stay strong and resist the call of the DARK SIDE ;p

Believe it or not, I bought Batman. Granted, I bought him for like 120$ and for that, he was worth it. Oddly enough, he towers over some of my Hot Toys figures ( like Two-Face) yet, my old Sideshow figures ( like Freddy from Dream Warriors) are taller.

For someone like me who lives on a budget and can't necessarily afford something like Sideshow's Batman and Joker, the Medi is just fine. He's actually really nice in hand, my only issue is how restrictive his suit can be. But he's fine nonetheless. Will probably pick up the Joker.
