ThreeQ 1/6th CITIES RANGER 12" collectible action figure review II: Stephen Amell as Arrow

continued form previous toy blog post...

"My name is Oliver Queen. After five years on a hellish island, I have come home with only one goal: To save my city. But to do so, I can't be the killer I once was. To honor my friend's memory, I must be someone else. I must be something else." - Opening voiceover for ARROW season 2.

Oliver Queen is Green Arrow, a costumed crime-fighter created by Mort Weisinger and George Papp for DC comics. Arrow is an American television series based on Green Arrow but Stephen Amell who portrays Oliver Queen, a billionaire playboy turned hooded vigilante-hero, is not called "Green Arrow" until season four. He is initially known as the “Hood”, “Vigilante”, and simply “Arrow”.

The correct shooting stance when shooting an arrow is to have your body perpendicular to the target and the shooting line, meaning that if you drew an imaginary line from you to the target, this line would go across the middle of your feet. If you are right eye dominant, hold the bow with your left hand, point your left shoulder to the target, and handle the arrow and string with your right hand. If you are left eye dominant, it's the reverse. It actually doesn't help if you are wearing a hood when shooting an arrow because it will obscure your vision since hoods go over the head and almost covers the eyes.

In the pictures I've posted below of this recently released THREEQ TQ1001 1/6th scale CITIES RANGER 12-inch action figure posed in the shooting stance about to release the arrow towards his intended target, the hood is not placed over his head as it would look odd with the hood facing front when he's shooting from the side. The hood looks great when he's facing front as can be seen in the pictures at the bottom of this action figure review post but not so accurate in the shooting pose.

THREEQ TQ1001 1/6th scale CITIES RANGER 12-inch action figure. He comes with realistic head sculpt, removable mask, 12-inch male figure body with over 28 points of articulations, green T-shirt, leather-like jacket with hood, leather-like pants, boots, bow, quiver (arrow x 5), leather-like bag for shorter arrows x 5, gauntlet for mini-arrows x 3, interchangeable gloved hands x 6

I really like this figure. The costume / outfit does not restrict the figure's movement and he can easily hold most poses without any problems. The 1/6th scale head sculpt bears a strong resemblance to Stephen Amell who portrays Oliver Queen / Green Arrow and the likeness is quite spot-on :) The mask is very well crafted and fits his face perfectly without looking too big or out of place. You can see the masked and unmasked face in my first part action figure review posted HERE. A very nice figure overall and I highly recommend him if you are a Stephen Amell / Green Arrow or even Robin Hood fan.

Still not sure what he does with the smaller arrows he carries in a pouch on his right hip / thigh as well as the tiny ones on his left lower arm. He carries them with him but it doesn't look like he can shoot them with his bow because they are too small.
