December / Xmas 2016 Haul: VTS Toys 1/6th scale Wasteland Ranger, Batman v Superman Die-cast Batmobile and Home Guard Door Stop

It's been a pretty quiet Christmas this year but I'm still thankful and grateful for what I have :) My haul for December 2016 consists of VTS Toys 1/6th scale Wasteland Ranger 12-inch figure aka Tom Hardy as Max Rockatansky as seen in the 2015 action film "Mad Max: Fury Road", Suck UK Home Guard Door Stop and the DC Comics Metal Die-Cast Batmobile from "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice".

Every new Batman that appears on the big screen gets a new ride and the new Ben Affleck Batman in "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" is no exception. Besides the look of Batman, everyone is just as eager to know what his set of wheels look like as well. In comparison to the Tumbler Batmobile utilized in the Christopher Nolan Dark Knight trilogy, Zack Snyder describes the Batman V Superman Batmobile as being more “Batty”.

This DC Comics Metal Die-Cast Vehicle Batman v Superman Batmobile features the Dark Knight's ride as seen in the movie Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice! Featuring a Die-cast body and rubber tires, this pre-painted 1:24 scale Batmobile model kit measures approximately 23 cm long x 13 cm wide x 7.5 cm tall.

The VTS Toys 1/6th scale Wasteland Ranger 12-inch figure was first previewed in November 2015 and it certainly took a while for this product to hit the shelves. Many people were concerned that it might have been cancelled or discontinued but after waiting almost a year, it's finally here. Better late than never I guess. Art Figures had also previewed a similar figure based on the same character as well (check out the pics in my toy blog post HERE) but I prefer VTS version.

The box art is a dead giveaway of who the character is and which film he's based on even though no name is printed on it. Visuals have a great way of conveying the intended message without words. After all, there's the famous saying "A picture is worth a thousand words."

The box comes with two trays, the top tray holds the 12-inch figure of Tom Hardy as Max Rockatansky with some of the 1/6th scale accessories

Check out the realistic and life-like head sculpt. Pretty darn good IMHO

The bottom tray holds most of the figure's accessories including his weapons (sawed off shotgun, SKS rifle and sight, combat knife, Glock 17, and lots of ammo in various forms - Uzi mag x 2, MP5 mag x 2, AK47 mag x 2, M14 mag x 2, shotgun shell x 4, grenade x 3, 7.62mm bullet x 8. Most of the magazines cannot be used for the guns he have but I think in the post-apocalyptic era, you grab what you can and see how things go from there.

The original Home Guard consisted of volunteers who, during World War II were unable to go to war. Despite this they stood strong against the threat to peace and harmony at home. Like Dad’s Army these resin soldiers will dutifully stay behind, determined to keep domestic peace against the menace of slamming doors and falling books.

This Home Guard Door Stop is designed to look like a toy soldier. You know the ones we used to play with when we were kids, the same ones that were seen in "TOY STORY". This door stop / toy soldier is made from strong Polyresin and weighs a hefty 1.35kg. It stands at a commanding 27.8cm tall and looks great for the new Toy Haven, my new place since we sold the old one.

Here's how he looks at the door, beckoning guests to take off their shoes and come on in as he holds the door for them :) loving it haha
